Betsy Jane Williams was born on 20 October 1903 in Walton-on-Thames, Surrey. She grew up on Sunbury Lane with her parents and paternal grandfather, Charles Williams. Her mother's family, including Betsy's other grandparents, lived on the same street. Betsy was the eldest of nine.
Betsy died on 25 October 1976 aged 73; George ended his days in Glendale care home in Ambleside Avenue, Walton-on-Thames, where he died in October 1992 aged ninety.

Phyllis Edith May Williams was born on 14 May 1923 at 36 Sunbury Lane, Walton-on-Thames. She was born while Betsy was unmarried, and was raised by her grandparents Fred and Charlotte Williams in Sunbury Lane, Walton-on-Thames. They raised her as their own daughter. In 1945 Phyllis married Bertie George Tallent (1922-2006). They had three children:

After living in Cottimore Lane at the start of their married life, Phyllis and Bertie moved to their home in Vaux Crescent, Hersham, in the early 1950s. After 61 years of marriage, Bertie died in September 2006 aged 84. Phyllis, who suffered from dementia, lived in a care home in Chertsey where she died on 3 May 2007 aged 83.

Iris Christine C. J. Whittle was born in August 1924 in Weybridge, Surrey. Around the time of her 18th birthday, she married John Douglas Garner (1918-1998), also known as Doug. Doug came from a fruit-growing family in Wisbech, Cambridgeshire. Iris and Doug had two children:

They initially lived in Ashford, then Ruislip, before taking up farming, first at "West Dere" in West Walton, Norfolk, and latterly at "Abbydale", Wisbech St Mary, Cambridgeshire. They retired to their bungalow in Dereham. Doug died in late 1998 in Dereham aged 80. Iris, suffering from dementia, later moved into a care home in Dereham, where she passed away peacefully on 10 October 2014 aged 90.

Joan Doris C. Whittle was born on 17 June 1926 in Weybridge, Surrey. She served in the Women's Land Army in WWII. She later married Victor Howard Boddy (1922-1968), a highly decorated soldier who had served at the D-Day landings. They had five children:

Victor was a registered London black cab driver, and later ran continental coach tours. He died of a very sudden heart attack whilst in his coach in the summer of 1968, aged just 46. Joan then raised their children as a single mother and became a much-loved matriarch of her family. She moved the family to King's Lynn, Norfolk where she remained until her death following a short illness on 27 April 1999, aged 73.

Betty and Charlie lived in Twickenham and Whitton until moving to Wymondham, Norfolk. They later retired to their home in Ireland, "Dunromin", Gurteen, Bunclody, Co. Wexford. In their final years they returned to Norfolk, settling in Watton, Thetford. Charlie died in February 2007 in Norwich aged 85. Betty died of cancer at the Ford Place Nursing Home in Thetford on 16 November 2009 aged 81.

George Thomas Frederick Williams Whittle, known as Jack, was born in January 1930 in Weybridge. He was named after his father, George Thomas Whittle, and maternal grandfather, Fred Williams. Jack died at just two months of age, on 20 March 1930. He is buried in Weybridge Cemetery.

Lionel Ernest Whittle, known as Danny, was born on 26 January 1932 in Weybridge, Surrey. Growing up, he enjoyed fishing and football, and was captain of the football team at New Orleans Secondary Modern School in Twickenham. For his national service, he was part of the Queen's Bay Regiment, 2nd Dragoon Cavalry and after training at Catterick Garrison in Yorkshire, he was posted to Bad Fallingbostel in Germany. There he was part of a winning cricket team, enjoying a skiing holiday in the Harz Mountains. Upon his return Lionel met Valerie Yvonne Hurr (1933-2006) at York House, and they married in 1955, before having one daughter together:

The family lived in Hampton Hill where Lionel worked as a builder, working on film sets. Lionel then moved to Scotland, refurbishing hotels, before returning to Wimbledon where he set up his own firm. Around this time he and Valerie divorced, and he married his second wife Jean Florence Ada Parsons (1927-2017) in 1980. They lived together in their bungalow in Walton-on-Thames. Lionel enjoyed a very active retirement, playing golf at Hersham Golf Club, lawn bowls at Weybridge Bowls Club, travelling, and walking. He was a skilled organist and kept an organ in his conservatory. Lionel and Jean enjoyed completing the Times Crossword every morning. Jean later developed dementia, but Lionel stepped in to care for her, discovering a love of cooking. Lionel fought cancer four times, but by the fifth time, was simply ready for the "next big adventure". He passed away peacefully at the Sam Beare Hospice in Weybridge on 12 June 2015, aged 83. Jean died on 6 January 2017 in Chertsey, Surrey aged 89. Lionel was a central, highly respected and much beloved figure of the family and the encouragement and inspiration he gave acts as a lasting legacy.

Jack Charles L. George Whittle, always known as George, was born on 17 April 1934 in Woodham, Surrey. As a young man he enjoyed football, fishing and boxing. In 1959 he married Monica Huxley (living), and they had three children:

They lived in Warminster, Wiltshire, and divorced before George remarried in 1975 to Daphne D. Whittle (living). George was a British Army Officer and worked as a staff sergeant in Spain and Ireland. He was known for his stern and highly intimidating professional demeanour, at odds with his usually jocular personality. His name was once published on the IRA's hit list, but they never caught up with him. George retired following a stroke, and enjoyed an active retirement with Daphne in Ferndown, Dorset. He enjoyed golf, lawn bowls, travel, sailing, and yacht building. He died in Ferndown after a short battle with cancer in August 2006 aged 72.

Upon their return to England they lived in Cranford before settling in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. Chris worked as a shop assistant and is remembered for her brilliant sense of humour. She passed away after a short battle with breast cancer on 27 December 1992, at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, aged 51.
