Known as Rose. She reminisced about her life in an interview for a local history book in 2000. She was knowledgeable about the family history. Rose was a servant to Baron Profumo (of the Profumo Affair). She also worked in a paint factory, where the foreman would 'touch' all the female workers. When he approached Rose, she refused to take it, and when the manager became involved he fired her. Rose had the last laugh though, mixing black paint with the entire batch on her way out! She later worked packing shelves in Tesco and then for many years as a school assistant, cycling to work every day well into her seventies. Rose died in her local Weybridge in 2004, aged 93.
