On 4 September 1959, at 1/2 Great Winchester Street in London (now home to Deutsche Bank), Leslie signed a detailed last will and testament. He appointed his wife Annie, and chartered accountant Ernest James Woodhams as his executors and trustees. Leslie left his estate to Annie should she survive him by fourteen days, but if she was not to so survive him then the following pecuniary legacies were to be made:

Leslie's health failed towards the end of his life. He suffered from hemiplegia, which is paralysis of one side of the body. This necessitated his move into The Sunbury Nursing Home, where he spend his final days. His heart was weakened from arteriosclerosis and myocarditis, and he died at the nursing home on 7 March 1963 aged 79.
Leslie was buried in East Molesey on 14 March 1963, and his probate was granted on 14 May 1963.
Annie died on 26 February 1969 in East Molesey aged 87.
